National Park Quarters
In 2010 the US Mint initiated the "America the Beautiful" National Park Quarters program, which is scheduled to continue to at least 2021. The series may be extended at the option of the Secretary of Treasury to 2032.
The obverse of each coin depicts George Washington in a restored version of the original portrait used for the 1932 Washington quarter. Five new reverse designs are issued each year, depicting a national park or national site for each state, territory or district.
