The US Mint has been producing Uncirculated Coin Sets, known as Mint Sets, since 1947, with a few interruptions along the way. For most years, these unique collector favorites include uncirculated examples of all of the year's coins for every denomination issued from each mint facility. Since 2005, Mint Sets have been made with a satin finish, rather than the traditional luster. Mintages have varied through the years and so have the sizes of these coin sets, but collector interest is always strong.
